New Criteria Option for the BC-12 Award
by Eric Fergusson
Permanents Coordinator

There are now two ways to qualify for the BC-12 Award.

Option 1: A rider must complete 12 permanents or ACP sactioned brevets (or flèche/trace) in a each of 12 consecutive months. The starting point can be in any month.
[This is our current BC-12 criteria, and remains unchanged]

Option 2: A rider must complete 12 rides in a calandar year (January 1 - December 31). At least 8 of these must be permanents. This means that up to four rides can be ACP sactioned brevets (or flèche/trace). The permanents can be ridden any time during the year. i.e. Not tied to a month.
[Note: All 12 can be permanents.]

Thanks to the Randonneur Committee for approving my proposal to expand the criteria for earning a BC-12 Award. Below I've linked to the discussions we had on the proposal.
