Fall Round Up

No, I didn't attend the Kamloops cattle drive but I did attend the Fall Rando Round Up in Kamloops. On September 14, the interior riders got together for a 90km ride followed by a pot luck and BBQ hosted by Richard and Fearon Blair. The weather was perfect for our ride north out of Kamloops on scenic Westsyde Road. After 45 km we crossed the river on the historic "reaction ferry" at McClure and headed back into town to eat and socialize with the riders and their families. All the attendees are hoping that this will become an annual event. By riding tandem all season with Bob Boonstra of Kamloops, I managed to get an invitation despite being a Vancouverite. I'm already trying to figure out how to get invited back next year!
