Richard Blair - On executive 2007 - 2011

In April 1988 I rode my first brevet, a 200km ride organized by the then interior route coordinator, Bob Boonstra, and I soon realized that this form of long-distance cycling was one that I should embrace. In the past 22 years I have enjoyed brevets throughout the Southern Interior, including the RM1200 in 2004 and 2008, as well as many rides in the Lower Mainland, experiences from which I gained an insight into the personalities who have made our club work so well. In addition to my riding activities, I have also participated as a volunteer with our club and a few years back took over the role of interior coordinator from Bob Boonstra. With the assistance of some able brevet organizers, we have put together a rich variety of rides attracting cyclists from throughout the Interior as well as the Lower Mainland.
