Other Information:
The final route has been set for the August 1000. This one, a one way journey from the Pacific Border Crossing ending in Klammath Falls for an Amtrak return for those not heading south. Your ride organizer will not be returning, choosing instead to board the southbound Amtrak Coast Starlight to San Jose.

I have chosen to start at midnight Aug 2nd (Friday night/Sat am) and there will be no late starts. If others riders want to do the ride, a 5 am start will also be offered. That time is more conducive for the 8am Amtrak heading north.

Typical for a BC 1000, no support is offered and the route has not been pre-ridden. It will be an exploration as the roads south of Hood River will test the rider in self sufficiency of carrying adequate supplies and managing water.

I haven't set up a randopony link, if you do want to tackle the brevet, contact me directly and we can coordinate the paperwork on Friday.
