We recently received a message from Sophie Matter that revealed that we didn't have the ride time of the Trace Pacifique quite right. Here is that message. [EF]

I visited your webpage about Trace Pacifique, and noted that you have modified the Trace Vélocio rules, in making the Trace a 16 hour event (for only 16 hours: 6 a.m. to 10 p.m... Dawn to Dusk on Saturday). It is not, in fact. Riders start from Sat. 6 am, and hand over their cards on Sun. between 8 and 11 am. They stop riding between 10 pm and 6 am. Teams wanting to use the maximum possible time, would get up to 21 hours (16 hours from 6 am to 10 pm on Sat. + 5 hours from 6 am to 11 am on Sun.). The distance ridden on Sunday morning is taken into account. During the Trace Vélocio, it is common for many teams to stop at the hotel en route, and end on Sunday morning.

We would be grateful if you could update your regulation.
