I will be in attendance at the Race Across AMerica (RAAM), as support crew member for Cassie Lowe, an Australian woman (and the only solo female in the event this year). If you are interested, you can follow the event on www.raceacrossamerica.org or on Cassie's own website www.cassonbike.com
The race starts on from Portland, Oregon on Sunday 18 June, straight up into the mountains and goes through Idaho, the corners of Utah and Wyoming, across the Rockies in Colorado, the northern edge of Texa and down through Oklahoma, Arkansas, Mississippi, Alabama and finishes at Pensacola in south west Florida.
This year eWorldtrack will have all the riders data-tagged such that the whole event can be followed remotely (just like watching Wacky Races!) Information is due to be uploaded every 30 minutes. This is the first time any project like this has ever happened - even eWorldtrack are excited by it! Cassie's site will probably be updated once or twice each day because we're on the move and will also be busy making sure that she is being suitably fed, cared for and guided 2975 miles (4760 km) across the USA.
