Note: The Axles were delayed at Hope about 90 minutes at about midnight when their 5th wheel, Henry Berkenbos, hit the rumble strips upon entering Hwy #1, fell & broke his collar bone. After Bob Marsh picked him up at Hope Hospital & took him back to Harrison Henry decided he could drive home to Richmond, with standard shift!

Note: Ken Carter et al, set out from Cayuse Pass, near Mount Ranier at 18:00, in snow. By Snoqualmie Falls ( close to 200kms) all 4 or them were too cold to continue & thus had to quit. Their ambitious route had a potential 687 kms. But Ken assured me they had no serious dream about reaching Hope, the teminus of that treck.
