Dug Andrusiek - Member at Large

I have been a member of BC Randonneurs since 2005, but took a couple of years before I completed a Super Randonneur series (2008). I have Pacific Populaire pins going back to 2001, and consider the PacPop a gateway drug. Self propelled adventure is big part of my life, and every ride (regardless of the distance) is an opportunity to explore.

I have been riding competitively since my late teens and love to share equipment/logistic/route ideas with everyone. Actually, come to think of it, I love to talk about pretty much everything. My early club years were with the Brampton Cycling Club, where I rode with Bill Hewes (the namesake for the Hewes Challenge Trophy) and Allan Jackson, both of whom are immortalized on the CKAP website.

I love to watch new riders explore their abilities and limits through randonneuring. I look forward to helping the club promote randonneuring to the cyclists of British Columbia.

[Dug left the committee mid season 2013 as Member At Large, following a job opportunity to Australia.]
