The 100,000 km award is the trophy given to
Ken Bonner after the 2005 season for reaching lifetime event
distance of 100,000 kms in ACP and RM events. The trophy is a
"one off". Ken did not have one of his own old saddles,
so Michel Richard offered one of his classic leather saddles.
Karen Smith had the saddle bronzed, Michel envisioned the design,
and Eric Fergusson organized the production. The metal work was
done by Peter Spotzl at Metal and Wood Products in Vancouver,
and the engraving was by Clarkes Recognition also in Vancouver. |
